Requirements for Entry:

  • A passport having six months or more validity that remains till the time of return
  • One blank visa page and not endorsement pages available in the passport for visa stamping
  • Nepali authorities generally allow entrance on an emergency passport printed overseas
  • Visa appropriate for purpose of travel

Obtaining a visa:

Visa to Nepal for a foreign nationality is very easy as it can easily be obtained on arrival to the country of the Himalayas. You may refer to any of the means for a visa processing to Nepal detailed hereunder:

  • You can apply for a visa at a Nepalese embassy or consulate before travelling.
  • Purchasing a visa at the airport in Kathmandu. However, visa on arrival may take a longer time at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal in case there is a long queue.
  • You may also apply for a visa online from https://online.nepalimmigration.gov.np/tourist-visa

Note:Travellers from Australia, You can visit your nearest Consulate General of Nepal to apply visa for Nepal.

Visa fees for multiple entry in terms of days:

  • 15 days - US$25
  • 30 days - US$40
  • 90 days - US$100

We strongly advise to Carry US Dollars with Travellers which is Easily Accepted in Immigration. Other Currencies are also Accepted although the Price May Differ. Visas are the Responsibility of the Individual Traveller. Remember!!

  • Not possessing a visa or not receiving an entry stamp from an immigration officer may result in troublesome consequences for you to depart from the country.
  • Always carry a Xerox of your return ticket as there have been instances when travellers are asked to show information about their return dates.
  • List your date of entry a few days before and date of exit a few days after, your intended dates in case you encounter any delays or problems in route.

TREKKING PERMITS-WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

The Everest Region Trek- requires all the passport details and 2 passport size photos for Permit and Safety Purpose. These documents should be hand over to your Trip Leader during the First day of Trip.

The Gosainkunda and Langtang Trek- require all the passport details and 2 passport size photos for Permit and Safety Purpose. You will hand these over to your Trip Leader on Day 1.

The Annapurna Region Trek-requires all the passport details and passport size photo before Departure and we will send to Nepal Team. Please send this to your Trip Booking Staff of Travel Adventure Nepal once your Trip is guaranteed.

The Combined Everest and Annapurna Regions Trek- requires all the passport details and passport size photo and is subject to send to Nepal prior to Departure. Please send this to your Trip booking Staff of Travel Adventure Nepal once your Trip is guaranteed. We will also ask you to take 2 Passport size photos to Nepal and handover to your Trip Leader on day 1st.

For the Conservation Area Treks and Other Trip and Treks requiring Special permits - requires all the Passport details and Passport size photo and is subject to send to Nepal prior to Departure. Please send this to your Trip booking Staff of Travel Adventure Nepal once your Trip is guaranteed. On Arrival in Kathmandu, you will be required to provide your Passport with Visa for Presentation at the Nepal Tourism Board. Once the task is completed, your Passport will be returned to you by Your Tour leader at Dinner.

Climbing and Expedition Trips- requires all the Passport details and Passport size photo and is subject to send to Nepal prior to Departure for Permit and Safety Purpose. Please send this to your Trip booking Staff of Travel Adventure Nepal once your Trip is guaranteed. On Arrival in Kathmandu, you will be required to provide your Passport with Visa for Presentation at the Nepal Tourism Board. Once the task is completed, your Passport will be returned to you by Your Tour leader at Dinner.
