Requirements for Entry:

  • A passport having six months or more validity that remains till the time of return

  • One blank visa page and not endorsement pages available in the passport for visa stamping

  • Nepali authorities generally allow entrance on an emergency passport printed overseas

  • Visa appropriate for purpose of travel


Obtaining a visa:

Obtaining Visa to Nepal for a foreign nationality is very easy as it can easily be obtained on arrival to the country of the Himalayas. You may refer to any of the means for a visa processing to Nepal detailed hereunder:

  • You can apply for a visa at a Nepalese embassy or consulate before travelling.

  • Purchasing a visa at the airport in Kathmandu. However, visa on arrival may take a longer time at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal in case there is a long queue.

Visa fees for multiple entries in terms of days:

15 days - US$25

30 days - US$40

90 days - US$100



  • Not possessing a visa or not receiving an entry stamp from an immigration officer may result in troublesome consequences for you to depart from the country.

  • Always carry a xerox of your return ticket as there have been instances when travellers are asked to show information about their return dates.

  • List your date of entry a few days before, and date of exit a few days after, your intended dates in case you encounter any delays or problems in route.
