Bhaktapur valley is known as land of devotee, this medieval historic site is a collection of Pagoda and Shikhara-Style Temples along with Fifty-five Window Palace. Trip Itinerary

On this day tour, you will visit 2 different cultural heritage sites which are listed in World Heritage sites by UNESCO for its prosperous rich culture, temples, wood and stone carved artwork. After a 45 minute drive from Kathmandu city center, you will reach at the ancient temple of ChanguNarayana which is located on a high hilltop. This shrine is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and considered as the oldest temple in Nepal. After a visit to Changu Narayan you will drive to Bhaktapur, an ancient native Newari town, the third largest city in Kathmandu valley and was once the capital of Nepal during the great Malla Kingdom until the second half of the 15th century. Changu Narayan Temple is full of magnificent artworks in metal, stone and wood. In fact, it is one of the finest examples of Nepalese architecture. The first epigraphic evidence of Nepalese history found in the temple premises during the reign of the Licchavi King Mandeva dating back to 464 A.D. shows that Changu Narayan had already been established as a sacred site in the 3rd century A.D. Bhaktapur is the home of traditional art and architecture, historical monuments and craft works, magnificent windows, pottery and weaving industries, excellent temples, beautiful ponds, rich local customs, culture, religion, festivals, musical mystic and so on. It is still an untouched and well preserved ancient city that is own itself the vast subject to explore for wanderers. Your tour starts at 9 am from your hotel. An English speaking tour guide; private car with experienced driver are included in the tour package. It takes 5 - 6 hours to complete your tour and you will be dropped off to your hotel in Kathmandu at the end of the day.
